Full course description
Applied Psychophysiology using bioneurofeedback has emerged as a
valuable behavioral-based treatment intervention for a wide variety of disorders of the
autonomic and central nervous system. This BCIA-accredited Neurofeedback program is a self-paced series designed to provide the didactic instruction that is necessary to attain certification in Neurofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). Material focuses exclusively on EEG-biofeedback (neurofeedback) and covers clinical assessment, protocol development, and client care in the use of neurofeedback. There are ten asynchronous sessions (with readings) that are self-paced. Participants will demonstrate mastery of the content by successfully completing two on-line post-session learning activities. BCIA will be notified that participants who complete the activities have met the didactic requirement for their Neurofeedback certification. (NOTE: Certification occurs through BCIA, not Widener, and is based on meeting a number of criteria. This didactic program fulfills one set of BCIA criteria.)
